Domestic Car Range
Before the Distribution Center in Hampton, Virginia was fully dedicated to the aftermarket, it was the hub of designing and producing parts. It supplied many domestic vehicles with their original clutch parts. Those patented, original designs and reliable parts are still in place at foreign Valeo manufacturing sites. Valeo’s North American Headquarters is located in Troy, Michigan. Teams of dedicated professionals in sales, engineering and other departments have built partnerships with the domestic car makers. Valeo has supplied the OE clutch for over 25 models on North American roads across six domestic makes.
Valeo has been a key clutch supplier to Ford for many years. Most of the manual transmission Mustangs built over the past 25 years have been equipped with a Valeo clutch. Our clutches have also been used in the F-Series 7.3L trucks, SHO Taurus, Thunderbird and others.
AT GM, Valeo has been an instrumental partner on past Corvette and Camaro applications, as well as many medium duty truck applications. Kits #53306404 and #53306405 are two of our most relied upon in the aftermarket for the Topkick/Kodiak trucks from model year 2001 and up. Recently released conversion kits are available for the 6.6L Duramax Diesel pickup and the Dodge Ram.
In the aftermarket, Valeo’s range of clutch kits for domestic vehicles covers 97% of the passenger car and light truck vehicles in operation. The coverage extends across all 18 major makes and about 250 different models. Valeo now offers solid flywheel conversion kits to fit 16 specific domestic car models.
